Third Coast Cat Co. was founded by Tracy Collins Ortlieb, a Certified Professional Pet Sitter (CPPS). But the credentials only tell part of Third Coast’s story.
We’ve spent years fostering cats and kittens for Chicago-area rescue organizations — caring for fragile neonatal kittens, under-socialized adults, nursing mothers, and cats with complex medical needs. That work taught us things no certification can: how to earn trust from an animal who has no reason to give it, how to recognize subtle shifts in behavior, and how to understand that every cat communicates in its own way.
Importantly, we’re still fostering today. Rescue work isn’t something Third Coast Cat Co. grew out of — it’s something we’ll always be part of, because the need never stops. The patience, observation, and compassion it demands are the same qualities we bring into every client’s home.
